Program Description:

Study Abroad in Barcelona

Take a deep dive into Tourism and Hospitality topics in a city considered one of the world’s leading tourism and cultural centers. During the semester, choose Tourism Studies and Hospitality Management courses at our partner institution, CETT-University of Barcelona (CETT-UB), and round out your experience with electives and core courses in the Liberal Arts and Social Sciences at the CEA CAPA Barcelona Center. You also have the option to add a professional internship with a tourism or hospitality-focused placement. In the summer, choose from five distinct program tracks and spend four weeks immersed in the selected area of study and gain hands-on experience through site visits, case studies, and group projects.

Where You'll Study

Students take classes at the CEA CAPA Barcelona Center and CETT- University of Barcelona (CETT-UB). The CEA CAPA Barcelona Center, located on the Plaza Catalunya in the heart of the city, offers courses in a range of subjects, taught in English and Spanish. Learning takes place both in and out of the classroom, with instructors taking full advantage of Barcelona’s many notable sites and attractions. CETT-UB is an affiliated center of the University of Barcelona, dedicated to the education, research, and knowledge transfer in the fields of tourism and hotel management. Students will receive a transcript from CEA CAPA’s School of Record, and CETT-UB upon completion of their program.
