Do you want to study abroad in one of the greenest and most architecturally beautiful cities in Europe? Now’s your chance! Designed for students from all academic backgrounds, the Arts + Sciences program offers you the opportunity to make Scotland’s enchanting capital, Edinburgh, your home away from home.
When class is in session, you’ll take courses (in English) across five different schools – Business, Arts and Creative Industries, Computing, Science, and Healthcare – at CIEE’s renowned partner institution, Edinburgh Napier University (Napier). Napier is an internationally recognized award-winning school that prides itself on successfully integrating study abroad students into its campus.

Go on a guided tour of Edinburgh Castle, located on Castle Rock; Edinburgh Castle was built on volcanic soil and has served as a royal palace and garrison castle for centuries
Go on a walking tour of Old Town & The Royal Mile where most of Edinburgh’s attractions can be found; the Royal Mile is the main street consisting of the smaller streets: Castlehill, Cannongate, Lawnmarket, and High Street
Visit the Palace of Holyroodhouse, a monastery founded by King David I in the 12th century at the lower part of the Royal Mile, which was expanded to become the main residence of the Scottish monarchs
Visit Edinburgh's Calton Hill; the hill is a hundred meters above sea level and gives you a beautiful view over Edinburgh and The Firth of Forth; Edinburgh's Calton Hill is home to a number of well-known Scottish monuments constructed in a classical style, making the hill known as the “Athens of the North”
Visit the National Museum of Scotland, which has an extensive collection of Scottish antiquities, culture, science, technology, history, and natural history
