WHY STUDY IN CITY?
Anchored by centuries of academic tradition, Oxford has a diverse population and a modern urban center. The medieval and Victorian “dreaming spires” of the city embody the traditions of Oxford, but hip, student-friendly entertainment also abounds. Participate in Oxford traditions such as punting (boating) on the Rivers Isis (Thames) and Cherwell. Oxford is also conveniently located for visiting some of England’s best-known destinations, including the Cotswolds, Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace, and Stratford-upon-Avon.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Quirky Mansfield College was founded in 1886 as a college for nonconformist students. The inclusive tradition continues, as Mansfield enrolls the highest number of state high school graduates—most of its 250 students attended public UK schools.

Located in the center of the city, Mansfield is a great option for biblical studies, Asian studies, English, gender studies, history, philosophy, and political science. Friday public talks feature debates and research. Twice a week, the college hosts two formal dinners, where students dress up and don college gowns.

In addition to world-class academics, your program includes IFSA excursions and activities that give you deeper cultural insights, all with no extra fees. Possibilities include a West End theater performance, a session in the famous The Great British Bake Off tent, and exploring below ground with a former coal miner in Wales.
