IFSA - UNIVERSITY OF OXFORD, ST. EDMUND HALL PARTNERSHIP
Oxford, England
WHY STUDY IN CITY?
Anchored by centuries of academic tradition, Oxford has a diverse population and a modern urban center. The medieval and Victorian “dreaming spires” of the city embody the traditions of Oxford, but hip, student-friendly entertainment also abounds. Participate in Oxford traditions such as punting (boating) on the Rivers Isis (Thames) and Cherwell. Oxford is also conveniently located for visiting some of England’s best-known destinations, including the Cotswolds, Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace, and Stratford-upon-Avon.
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
St. Edmund Hall is thought of by many as Oxford’s oldest educational establishment with a history that runs back to 1236. Affectionately known as Teddy Hall, the college is known for independent thought and academic excellence in history, English literature, economics, finance, political science, philosophy, languages, psychology, and more.
Unwind in Teddy Hall’s Junior Common Room, where you can treat yourself to chocolate milk, play pool, or join a crowd to watch the Great British Bake Off or Premier League soccer. Don’t miss dinner—known as “ming” at Teddy Hall. At the time of this writing, the head chef is from a Michelin-starred restaurant.
Compliment your incredible Oxford academic experience with rich cultural connections. It’s easy, when your program includes IFSA excursions and activities, with no extra fees. Possibilities include a West End theater performance, a session in the famous The Great British Bake Off tent, and exploring below ground with a former coal miner in Wales.
