Geotag  Oxford, England

WHY STUDY IN CITY?
Anchored by centuries of academic tradition, Oxford has a diverse population and a modern urban center. The medieval and Victorian “dreaming spires” of the city embody the traditions of Oxford, but hip, student-friendly entertainment also abounds. Participate in Oxford traditions such as punting (boating) on the Rivers Isis (Thames) and Cherwell. Oxford is also conveniently located for visiting some of England’s best-known destinations, including the Cotswolds, Warwick Castle, Blenheim Palace, and Stratford-upon-Avon.

ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Founded in 1714, Worcester has a full range of academic disciplines to choose from, making it a great place to experience Oxford’s world-famous tutorial system. It is a great option for computer science, economics, English, history, philosophy, and political science. Actress Emma Watson was a IFSA study aboard student for a semester, and graduates include the likes of English suffragette Emily Davison, composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, and historian Dai Smith.

Fond of balancing study with sport? Worcester College is the only Oxford college to have its own sports grounds on campus. They include a gym, tennis courts, sports fields, and boat house on the Thames. Campus itself has all sorts of places to recharge, including 26 acres of gardens, a lake, and an orchard of fruit trees.

With a central location on the university campus, nearly everything is within walking distance, and the train station is just a 10-minute walk away.

Being a student at Oxford is an experience all in itself. Your program also includes IFSA excursions and activities that give you deeper cultural insights, with no extra fees. Possibilities include a West End theater performance, a session in the famous The Great British Bake Off tent, and exploring below ground with a former coal miner in Wales.

Visit IFSA - University of Oxford, Worcester College Partnership on the IFSA website for complete academic details including a list of classes and syllabi.
